Practice Philosophy:
“In practice I believe that taking my time with each patient, listening to their concerns, and addressing the root cause of the problem is vital to achieve optimal health. Long term relief or prevention of disease is possible by treating the entire body, not just the individual symptoms. I believe that the body has wonderful abilities to heal itself when fed with proper nutrition, exercise and chiropractic adjustments. I would like to provide therapy to my patients while also educating them on the ways they can take their health into their own hands.”
Dr. Brod discovered her passion for the intricacies of the human body at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2009. Four years later, she graduated from National University of Health Sciences as a Doctor of Chiropractic and is currently a member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society.
While at National, she collaborated on several published research studies and is now a teacher for the massage program at the University. She also serves as an adjunct professor at the College of Dupage, teaching anatomy and physiology to students pursuing medical careers.
Dr. Brod has been a licensed massage therapist since March 2011. Soft tissue techniques are a vital adjunct to her adjusting style. She uses a combination of soft tissue massage, spinal manipulation, and rehabilitative exercises to return patients to optimal health and well-being. She also has a passion for diet and nutrition and incorporating these into the treatment plan.
